MP launches ‘Buffer Mein Safar’ to invite tourists to explore its wildlife this monsoon

Wildlife lovers will now have a good reason to cheer up. Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board has recently launched the #BufferMeinSafar campaign, in a bid to attract more tourists to the wildlife sanctuaries and national parks in the state. Reportedly, these spots are all ready to welcome tourists, and have all precautionary measures in place.
The core area of the forests remain closed during the monsoon months, i.e., from July to September, however, the buffer areas remain accessible for wildlife exploration. As such, MP Tourism is now planning to offer activities, such as bird watching, wildlife safaris, and many more in the said buffer areas zones in which visitors can visit. Apart from spotting various species in the buffer zones, the green cover in those buffer forest areas is a treat to sore eyes.This year, in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic, it has been reported that the tourist sector suffered a major hit. With the country in lockdown, and interstate travel ban, travelling remained off-limits for people for some time. However, as the country is opening up for travel now, MP Tourism is looking forward to launching innovative campaigns to boost the morale and confidence of the tourists. It is also planning to launch tour packages to the tourists, specially designed keeping in mind safe travel, stay, and other safety measures in place to keep the virus at bay during pandemic. As per the MP Tourism Board, to facilitate smooth travel, it has now planned to introduce short road itineraries, which involves 2-3 nights, and at the same time, offering people the option to avoid the boredom of a weekend.
Madhya Pradesh is home to numerous wildlife destinations along with six tiger reserves, i.e., Bandhavgarh, Pench, Kanha, Panna, Sanjay Dubri, and Satpura. Madhya Pradesh also boasts of being The Tiger State of the Country, with maximum tiger count in the state.
