The second-largest mall in Canada
Word to the wise: The centre is easily accessible by SkyTrain, with its own stop on the Millennium and Expo Lines.
More a mini-city than a shopping mall, Metrotown is the place locals come to get all their shopping under one roof. A 15-minute SkyTrain ride from downtown, it's a maze of department stores and mostly high-street labels, plus a cinema and massive food court. The various hubs are connected by 'skyways' and the whole place makes you feel like a very small ant in a very large farm.
Some of the 450 stores include Canadian favourites The Bay, Artizia and Lululemon Athletica alongside high street staples, such as Zara, Armani, MAC and H&M. The mall even provides lockers to store your bags, should you run out of hands.
