There's more to Chicago's festivals than music
Chicago’s calendar is filled with festivals that cater to all tastes. Here's a sample:
The Gold Coast Art Fair, running over one weekend in late June/early July, is one of the largest art fairs in the U.S., attracting tens of thousands of people to view more than 300 artists selling artworks from USD 25 to USD 25,000, along with free music and activities for kids.
Taste of Chicago is the world's largest annual food festival, where the city’s gastronomes come out to indulge themselves. Taking place outdoors in Grant Park in mid-July, expect tasters from 70 restaurants, live music and cooking demonstrations, and abundant food shopping.
