This year was about many things but the one that stood out the most was undoubtedly the battle against the climate crisis. Be it the Amazon rainforest fires, the Fridays For Future initiative, the global climate strikes or Greta Thunberg’s speech at the UN Climate Action Summit, climate crisis has been on the top of everyone’s minds and rightly so. Even the Oxford Dictionaries’ word of the year - climate emergency- implied urgent action against climate change. Taking cue from Greta, many youngsters from across the world have been at the forefront of initiatives urging urgent action against the climate crisis. These include students from the city as well. As the year draws to a close, team What’s Up, Campus? revisits the phrases and activities that grabbed attention on the city’s college campuses.
