Skipper Vijay Zol struck yet another century in colts cricket but that wasn't enough as India U-19 lost to their South African counterparts by 10 runs.

Fifteen year old Mumbai youngster Sarfaraz Khan smashed 101 off only 66 balls to help India colts record a four-wicket victory over South Africa in their round robin league encounter of the U-19 Quadrangular tournament here today.

New Zealand dismissed South Africa for 247 on Wednesday to win the first Test by 281 runs in Mount Maunganui. The touring South African side fell well short of their target of 529, leaving them 1-0 down heading into the second and final Test in Hamilton starting next Tuesday.

South Africa rallies in the second Test led by all-rounders Ruan de Swardt and Shaun von Berg, finishing at 220-6. They need to win the Test series against New Zealand at Seddon Park to avoid being the first team in their nation to lose. De Swardt and von Berg collaborated for 70 runs off 27 overs.

Only two of the players who were in South Africa's Test win over India on Thursday are in a 14-man squad for two Tests in New Zealand in February. Cricket South Africa on Saturday named a squad which includes seven uncapped players, including a new captain in left-handed opening batsman Neil Brand.
