Days after the completion of Rakesh Reddy’s questioning by Hyderabad police in the sensational murder of businessman C Jayaram, Jubilee Hills police registered another case against Rakesh on Friday for extortion, based on a complaint lodged by Pragati Resorts managing director GBK Rao.

Over three years after the sensational murder of Non-Resident Indian (NRI) Chigrupati Jayaram, a local court in Nampally on Monday convicted prime accused Rakesh Reddy while acquitting 11 other accused, including three policemen.

The state BJP unit on Monday demanded that Malkajgiri TRS MLA M Hanumantha Rao be suspended for his remarks on BJP state unit chief Bandi Sanjay.
