After multiple instances of breaches of protocol in the ongoing Indian Premier League, the Indian cricket board (BCCI) has warned IPL franchises about the risks of targeted honeytrapping during the league. The cricket board has also warned players, team members’ families, officials and the broadcasters’ about what they post on social media.

In a detailed seven-page advisory sent to franchises on Thursday night ( TOI has a copy) , BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia cautioned teams against situations that could lead to “serious legal allegations,” including those related to “sexual misconduct” and urged team managements to remain “vigilant and proactive”.
