The stunning, snow-laden ski slopes of Gulmarg were alive with the sound of music as gorgeous models created their own icy ramp walk 8,500 feet above sea level to mark 15 years of a swimwear brand known for its bold, avant-garde couture. Unfortunately, the fashion show faced a different kind of music from outraged local leaders, with vociferous protests across the valley and beyond as angry critics claimed that “Kashmiri sensibilities are being disregarded.” The fashion show was dubbed a “cultural invasion”.
