Anurag Dobhal’s livestreamed crash highlights the risks of an always-on life. Behind the glam, many influencers grapple with nasty trolls and constant pressure

When attention becomes livelihood, losing it can feel like losing everything. This month, distressed YouTuber Anurag Dobhal (UK07 Rider) livestreamed what he called his “final drive”, following a public fallout with his family as he crashed his car into a highway divider and ended up in ICU, in a chilling reminder of how the public and private can collapse into one moment online.

At 25, Udit Rajput knows that pressure intimately. A dating content creator for the past three years, he has built a niche decoding modern relationships through videos on red flags and situationships. His work depends on brand deals and engagement, with constant pressure to outdo himself. “You have to give a banger every time,” he says.
