The delimitation bills have been stalled for now, but the fight over who gets how many seats in Parliament is far from over. What is the right way to do it?

On an average, a single Lok Sabha MP in India represents about 18 lakh voters.

But the actual numbers don’t hover around this range. Because an actual Lok Sabha MP in India represents anywhere between 38 lakh voters (in Telangana’s Malkajgiri) and 58,000 voters (in Lakshadweep).
