While many major democracies are angrily turning incumbents out of power, India is not – and NDA’s reelection victory in Bihar is just the latest case. This is not necessarily a good sign, especially in a state where progress is stalling and chief minister Nitish Kumar seems to have run out of ideas on how to hasten economic development.
