New mandir-masjid disputes are appearing like a rash all over India. Not a week goes by without news of tension rising in a new town with claims of a temple being located under a mosque.
The situation is so volatile now that even Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) – which backed Hindus’ claim in three of the country’s biggest mandir-masjid disputes (Ayodhya, Mathura and Kashi) – seems to be worried.
