A three-judge bench of the Supreme Court has agreed to reopen the sentencing of a convict whose case concluded in 2017, relying on a 2022 ruling that reshaped the process of awarding capital punishment



Recently, the Supreme Court significantly expanded how death sentences in India can be revisited, even after a case has seemingly reached judicial closure.
