War in West Asia has, once again, exposed the fragility of India’s energy security. Nearly 90% of its crude oil is imported, and close to half originates in the Gulf. The standoff in Strait of Hormuz has rippled through the economy, compounded by rising demand amid scorching summer temperatures.
