Rs 2.4 cr a month on US lobbying: Why aren’t India’s efforts giving results?


A steep 50% tariff on most goods exported from India to the United States came into force on August 27. While New Delhi has defiantly indicated it will not buckle under pressure, the hiring of another powerhouse lobbying firm by the Indian embassy in Washington, DC reflects New Delhi has activated countermeasures to mend frayed India-US ties.
