For peace, both US & Iran must realise neither’s position is as strong as they believe, nor is their adversary as weak as they would prefer. But they are not there yet
In agreeing to a two-week ceasefire on the Iran war, Trump’s imperial presidency and cult of personality – which had already generated serious problems domestically – reached a logical crescendo. A war without strategy, escalated step by step in an attempt to force Tehran to save Trump from himself, by simply acquiescing to his narrative and worldview. As reported by New York Times on April 7, Israeli PM Netanyahu pushed hard for this war, convincing a readily persuadable Trump, that toppling the Islamic Republic would be straightforward.
