A study that looked at a large population across two countries said that people with obesity were more likely to suffer worse outcomes when they contracted infections



The link between obesity and non-communicable diseases like heart disease, diabetes and some forms of cancer is well documented. But a new study has highlighted that obesity also puts people at higher risk of catching infections, hospitalisation and dying of infectious diseases as well.
