Nearly half of those with a form of breast cancer see the disease return post-treatment. A new study explains why this happens and how relapses could be prevented by junking the one-treatment-fits-all approach

Estrogen receptor-positive (ER+) breast cancer is one of the most prevalent forms of breast cancer and there is a set protocol for its treatment. However, nearly 50% of patients with this form of cancer in India either don’t respond to treatment or suffer a relapse.
