From nearly 200,000 hours of content in 2025 to 87.58 crore multi-screen users, India’s media boom is accelerating, but parallel research points to rising concerns over sleep disruption, cognitive fatigue and children’s screen dependency



Step into any urban public space today, a railway platform, a bus stop, a café queue, and the posture repeats itself with near-perfect uniformity -- heads bent, necks curved forward, eyes fixed on glowing screens. Some watch reels at full volume, the sound spilling into shared air. Others are sealed off behind earphones, scrolling in silence. Many switch between apps every few seconds, as if stillness itself has become uncomfortable.
