Doctors say that if there’s a history of heart attacks in your family, routine tests may not capture how much at risk you are even at young ages
If you follow actor Soha Ali Khan on social media, you know that she often speaks about the benefits of exercise, a disciplined lifestyle, and staying healthy. However, recently, she spoke about being genetically predisposed to heart disease on a podcast she hosts. As a result of this condition, Khan said she has to keep her cholesterol levels lower than standard levels and has modified her diet.
“I am so obsessed with being healthy… I just did my blood test. My LDL, which is the bad cholesterol, is good; it is low, and HDL, which is the good cholesterol, is high, which is good, but I have a gene that is genetically predisposed to heart disease. I have to keep my cholesterol even lower than normal,” she said on a podcast episode of ‘All About Her’.
