Wars are discussed in terms of geopolitics, economic loss, and tragic human toll. What rarely enters public debate is another profound consequence of modern warfare – its massive contribution to environmental destruction and accelerated global carbon emissions. World is struggling to limit global warming to 1.5°C, and climate impact of military conflicts remains one of the most neglected dimensions of global climate policy.
