For over three decades, Ghulam Nabi Fai has been a prominent international lobbyist on the Kashmir issue. However, the 76-year-old American citizen of Kashmiri origin has a long history of legal troubles in both India and the US.

Recently, a special National Investigation Agency (NIA) court in Jammu and Kashmir ordered the immediate attachment of his land in Budgam, marking a significant escalation in India’s case against him. Fai is accused of acting as a proxy for Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).
