Mumbai's chief planner gives the lowdown on Metro

With tunneling work on Metro Line 3 (Colaba-Bandra-SEEPZ) completed, TOI spoke to metropolitan commissioner SVR Srinivas about how the mass transit project in its entirety will transform public transport for Mumbaikars and how it will be of environmental benefit. Srinivas says the project will be a game changer as it will wean people away from cars and also free up space on local trains.
