Apple is expected to launch its next generation Apple Watch Ultra 3 at the company iPhone launch event this year. As per rumours, Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 17 series smartphones and the Apple Watch Ultra 3 next month. Now a new online report reveals a feature expected to come in Apple Watch Ultra 3. As reported by MacRumours, the latest iOS 26 beta suggests that the Apple Watch Ultra 3 may sport a slightly larger display as compared to its predecessor. The leaked assets, uncovered by MacRumors contributor Aaron Perris, show a resolution of 422 x 514 pixels, up from the 410 x 502 resolution found on the current Apple Watch Ultra 2.
While the physical casing size of the Apple Watch Ultra 3 is not explicitly confirmed to be larger, the increased resolution strongly suggests either a slightly bigger overall display or, more likely, a reduction in bezel size to accommodate the enhanced screen within a similar form factor.
This potential display bump, though seemingly minor in terms of raw pixel count, could translate to a more immersive and user-friendly experience, allowing for more information to be displayed at a glance or providing a more expansive canvas for watchOS features.
Apple Watch Ultra 3: What to expect
The Apple Watch Ultra 3 is expected to debut this fall alongside the iPhone 17 lineup and Apple Watch Series 11. Rumored upgrades include:
ul1- li1Satellite connectivity for off-grid communication
- li1A brighter display with faster refresh rate
- li1A new chip for improved performance
- li1Potential health features like blood pressure monitoring
Apple has not officially confirmed these specs, but the beta leak adds fuel to speculation that the Ultra 3 will continue pushing boundaries in rugged, high-performance wearables. Apple is widely expected to unveil the Apple Watch Ultra 3 this fall, likely alongside the new iPhone 17 lineup and Apple Watch Series 11 models.
