First, it was the Ghibli-style transformations—turning real-life photos into dreamy anime-like art. Now, a quirky new trend is taking over social media – using AI to imagine what your pet would look like as a human. Whether it’s a dog or a cat, people are asking ChatGPT and AI art tools to “humanize” their furry friends. The trend has already gained traction on platforms like Reddit, X (formerly Twitter), and Instagram, where users post side-by-side comparisons of their pets and their AI-generated ‘human versions’, often complete with imagined backstories and personalities. But, how exactly are people doing this? We asked OpenAI’s ChatGPT to turn a pet dog’s photo into a humanised form and the results will surely amaze you. Having said that, you may need to add a few customizations to get accurate results which often are a bit deviated from the reality, but will leave you impressed.

How to turn your photos of your pet to human

Step 1- Start by uploading a picture of your furry friend in a chat window with ChatGPT.

Step 2- Give a prompt asking ChatGPT to develop humanised photo of your pet. For example, ‘Can you create an image of this dog as a human?’, ‘Can you reimage this photo of a cat as a human’.

Step 3- Here ChatGPT may ask a few follow-up questions. In our case, the AI assistant asked:


To make it as accurate and fun as possible, could you help me with a few quick details?


Gender: Should the human version be male, female, or unisex?


Age group: Child, teenager, adult, or elderly?


Style or personality vibe: For example, chill and casual, sporty, street-smart, classy, etc. Or should I base it on the dog’s expression and posture?


Once I’ve got that, I’ll whip up a humanized version of this charming pupper!



Step 4- Answer these and give more details as you want your pet’s human character to be.

Step 5- Enter the prompt and wait for ChatGPT to ‘humanise’ your pet’s photo.
