The platform aims to foster a vibrant community where everyone has a voice and can engage with diverse content.
- li1Supporting creators as Startups: Mohan described YouTube creators as the "startups of Hollywood," bringing a new mindset to content production. The YouTube Partner Program has paid out over $70 billion to creators, artists, and media companies in the past three years. The platform will introduce new tools to improve monetisation and enhance podcast discovery.
- li1Optimizing YouTube for televisions: With TV now the primary device for YouTube viewing in the U.S., the platform is focusing on enhancing the TV experience. This includes features like a second-screen experience that allows users to interact with videos on their phones while watching on TV, and "Watch With," which enables creators to provide live commentary and real-time reactions to events.
- li1Leveraging AI for better experiences: Generative AI remains a major focus for YouTube. The platform will continue investing in AI tools to empower creators and artists, including expanding auto-dubbing to more creators and integrating Google DeepMind’s Veo 2 into Dream Screen. AI-driven features like the Inspiration Tab and Dream Track will also be enhanced.
