Who is Susan Rice

Susan Rice is a longtime Democratic foreign policy and national security official. She served in senior roles under Presidents Bill Clinton, Barack Obama and Joe Biden. Under Obama, Rice was U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, becoming the first Black woman to hold the post. She later served as national security adviser and then led the Domestic Policy Council under Biden.




Susan Rice was born in Washington, D.C., and studied history at Stanford University. Before entering government, she worked as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company. Over the years, she has been a frequent target of criticism from conservative figures and media.
