Who is Ranvir Sachdeva, 8-year-old who became the youngest speaker at India AI Impact Summit 2026; He met with Google CEO Sundar Pichai, OpenAI’s Sam Altman
Amidst a sea of global tech CEOs, leaders and senior policymakers at the India AI Impact Summit 2026, one speaker stood out – Ranvir Sachdeva, an eight-year-old coder who called himself a technologist. He became the youngest person to address the summit currently underway at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. Ranvir took stage to discuss how he is linking ancient Indian philosophies to modern-day Artificial Intelligence (AI).
“I'm here as the youngest keynote speaker at the India AI Impact Summit. I'm talking about how I'm linking ancient Indian philosophies to modern-day technologies. I'm also covering the different approaches which the rest of the nations are building AI with,” Ranvir Sachdeva told news agency ANI.
“I'm talking about how India is building AI with. I'm sharing my own use case of an Indian AI model just released and how I'm contributing to India's GDP and driving AI literacy with it,” he added.
Perhaps his most famous encounter was with Apple CEO Tim Cook in 2023. Cook visited New Delhi in 2023 for the opening of the Delhi store. Ranvir showcased his coding skills in a one-on-one session. At that time, he was 5-years-old, and he has been coding since the age of three. He stood in line outside the store with his parents, waiting for the store to open.
He has won a gold medal as a “Super Presenter” in the 2022 Global Reading Challenge. Further, at the age of 6, he became the world’s youngest TEDx Speaker, talking about technology and innovation. He has reportedly created a prototype rocket ship for Mars exploration that earned him recognition from NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

So far, AI has done more harm than good in terms of employment for the common man. We may even need to hold an “After‑AI Impact Summit” to discuss how to repair the parts of society that are being left behind. The effects of AI make me think about a simple truth: humans need the Earth — but the Earth does not need humans. If we are not careful and intentional, the pace and direction of AI could deepen inequalities, disconnect communities, and push us further away from the very humanity we’re trying to enhance. Right away, the companies and governments should start planning to address the employment issues of those who lost their jobs, those who are at risk, the passing out students, and those of the future generations. It is a wishful thinking to assume that mankind gets more time to do something better. The gaps can lead more to disappointments, frustration, riots, and many more. An idle man's brain is a devil's workshop. See what we are all setting up.Read allPost comment
