Vodafone Idea rolls out 5G services in all 14 districts of Kerala; plans start at Rs 299

Vodafone Idea (Vi) has expanded its 5G services to all 14 districts of Kerala. As announced by the company, Vi 5G is now available statewide. As an introductory offer, Vi is offering the most affordable 5G plan in the industry for Kerala users, with 5G packs starting at Rs 299. The telco said that it will systematically continue to expand 5G coverage to other regions in the State.


With statewide coverage now live, Vi 5G is available in prime cities in all 14 districts, including Alapuzha, Kannur, Kalamassery, Kasaragod, Kalpeta, Kochi, Kollam, Kottayam, Kozhikode, Manjeri-Malappuram, Palakkad, Pathanamthitta, Tirur, Thrissur, Thodupzha, Thiruvananthapuram and Wayanad.


Speaking on the statewide 5G rollout, George Mathew V. Cluster Business Head- Kerala, Vodafone Idea said, “We are happy to announce that Vi 5G is now available in every district in Kerala. In the second half of 2025, we accelerated 5G deployments across the state with advanced, energy-efficient infrastructure and AI-powered Self-Organizing Networks (SON) to automatically optimize network performance and deliver high-speed, reliable connectivity. With the enhanced network, we can confidently say that Vi 5G provides a future-ready experience built on high-performance connectivity.”


As announced by the company, Vi has also strengthened its 4G network in Kerala. From September 2024 to September 2025, the telecom operator deployed over 3500 new 4G sites across 900 MHz, 1800 MHz and 2100 MHz spectrum bands, enhancing both indoor and outdoor network performance throughout the state.


“Vi plans to add more sites in the coming months to further augment network capacity and bandwidth, reinforcing its commitment to delivering reliable, high-quality connectivity across urban and rural markets,” the telco said.
