Salesforce India CEO Arundhati Bhattacharya to oversee ASEAN operations

Salesforce India and ASEAN have joined forces to form the unified ‘One South Asia Operating Unit.’ As part of this partnership, Salesforce India CEO and Chairperson Arundhati Bhattacharya will oversee the company's operations in the ASEAN region, starting February 1, 2025. Major countries in this region that will come under her leadership include – Singapore, Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia, in addition to India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

Starting February 1, the ASEAN sales leadership team will report to Arun Parameswaran, Managing Director of Sales at Salesforce India, who will, in turn, continue reporting to Arundhati Bhattacharya.

In ASEAN, Salesforce has been expanding its presence, supporting growing teams, and driving digital transformation in emerging markets like Thailand and Indonesia, strengthening its foothold in the region.

Salesforce India revenues grow by 36%

Under Arundhati Bhattacharya's leadership, Salesforce India achieved a 36% increase in total revenue, reaching Rs 9,116.3 crore for the financial year ending March 31, according to regulatory filings.

The company currently employs over 13,000 people across six Indian cities—Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi/Gurugram, Hyderabad, Jaipur, and Pune. Salesforce has also strengthened its position as a leading innovation hub in India, boasting a robust ecosystem of strategic partners, start-ups, over two million developers, and the highest number of ‘Trailhead’ users outside the US.

To further its commitment, Salesforce is investing in a new Salesforce Tower in Bengaluru, part of its global initiative that includes towers in key cities such as San Francisco, New York, London, and Tokyo. Since opening its Hyderabad Centre of Excellence in 2016 and expanding it in 2023, India has become a pivotal talent and innovation center for the company.
