Under the agreement, Oracle will provide an air-gapped cloud infrastructure, ensuring that the system is entirely disconnected from the internet and linked only to classified networks via encrypted devices. This isolated cloud environment will enhance the SAF's Command, Control, Communications, and Computers (C4) functions, offering increased scalability, security, and performance.

Oracle's AI tools will also play a pivotal role, enabling advanced data analysis and imagery capabilities. These include the ability to analyse video streams for facial recognition, license plates, and vehicle details, which are critical for defense operations.

The collaboration aims to modernize Singapore's defense capabilities by leveraging Oracle's expertise in secure cloud solutions. "Through this pilot collaboration with Oracle, we will harness advanced cloud and AI technologies to digitalize and transform our operations," said Ng Chad-Son, Chief Executive of DSTA.

Oracle's Global Defense CTO, Rand Waldron, highlighted the significance of the partnership, stating, "Our air-gapped, isolated cloud regions bring the capabilities of our public cloud and defense ecosystem to the world's most secure networks."
