The India AI Impact Summit in 2026 is all set to be among the biggest tech events of the year. Organised from February 16 to 20 in New Delhi, the event will witness the attendance of over 100 CEOs, AI startups, industry leaders, and country heads, thereby marking a rare blend of tech, government, and international cooperation. India plans to showcase that it is at the forefront of AI development, thereby focusing on the democratisation of artificial intelligence and facilitating international cooperation in AI research, innovation, and development. PM Narendra Modi will inaugurate the event to establish the pivotal role of AI in determining the future of global tech.

PM Narendra Modi to inaugurate Summit and lead key discussions

The conference will kick off with a ceremony hosted by none other than PM Modi himself. This is a significant indicator of the importance of India as an AI innovation hub. The event brings together leaders from various countries' governments, CEOs, and AI professionals. This is expected to serve as a demonstration stage for Indian AI innovation capabilities. This includes various Indian startups and research projects that may contribute towards global innovation.

As reported by ET, the Ministry of Electronics & IT, additional secretary Abhishek Singh told, they have got confirmations from almost all the major tech leaders like Google, Microsoft, and Facebook.
Expected Brad Smith, Sundar Pichai, and Jensen Huang to attend the summit.

Tech and AI leaders confirmed for the Summit

Among the confirmed attendees are some of the world’s most influential figures in AI and technology, including: global CEOs, visionary founders, policy shapers, researchers, and industry-leading innovators.
  • Demis Hassabis, CEO of Google DeepMind
  • Dario Amodei, CEO of Anthropic
  • Shantanu Narayen, CEO of Adobe
  • Marc Benioff, CEO of Salesforce
  • Cristiano Amon, CEO of Qualcomm
  • Raj Subramaniam, CEO of FedEx
  • Bill Gates, global technology visionary
Other prominent anticipated participants include Sam Altman (OpenAI), Jensen Huang (Nvidia Corporation), and Lip-Bu Tan (Intel Corporation), jointly with presidents/prime ministers from more than 15-20 countries. Such diversity in the tech world coupled with the global policymaking context will bring forth a distinctive setting.

Focus on AI innovation and global collaboration

The AI summit aims to close the divide and develop AI democratization. The topic areas include:

It is for the first time that India has invited China officially to join the summit as a partnering country. This is indicative of India trying to demonstrate their foundational AI models. Other world leaders who will be present at the summit include President Emmanuel Macron of France and President Lula da Silva of Brazil.Delhi prepares for a mega tech eventThe Delhi government has undertaken extensive infrastructure and civic upgrades to ensure smooth logistics for attendees. Key areas under revamp include:
  • Bharat Mandapam and surrounding event venues
  • Roads and transport hubs near IGI Airport, Hyderabad House, Vigyan Bhawan, Ambedkar Bhawan, and Sushma Swaraj Bhawan
  • Tourist and cultural locations such as Qutub Minar, Red Fort, Humayun Tomb, Connaught Place, Delhi Haat, and Mehrauli Archaeological Park
  • A central control room has been set up to oversee security, traffic, and civic arrangements, ensuring the summit meets world-class standards, surpassing those seen during the G20 Summit.
