HP India has launched the HP Latex Series, the Latex R530 large format printers, introducing this advanced technology to the Indian market for the first time at Media Expo Mumbai 2025. This 64-inch all-in-one printer is engineered to handle both rigid and flexible printing applications, HP said.
The company said that the introduction of the HP Latex R530 represents the next stage in the evolution, standing out as the only compact all-in-one HP Latex printing solution that allows for switching between rigid and flexible printing tasks.
"The large-format printing industry in India is experiencing rapid growth, but small and medium print service providers (PSPs) often face significant challenges, including limited space, high investment costs, and complex workflows. These obstacles can make it difficult for them to scale and remain competitive," said Vitesh Sharma, country head - India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka for Large Format Printing Business, HP.
"To address these challenges, we are proud to introduce the HP Latex R530. This all-in-one, compact printer is designed to simplify rigid and flexible printing, offering high-quality results without requiring substantial investments or complex setups. The HP Latex R530 enables PSPs to expand into new markets and grow sustainably. With this launch, we’re supporting businesses across India to stay ahead in a competitive market, and we look forward to showcasing it at the Media Expo to our customers," he added.
HP Latex R530 features
According to the company, the HP Latex R530’s design facilitates quick transitions between printing on rigid and flexible materials, ensuring consistent, high-quality output across a diverse array of media types. The integrated HP High Control Belt System ensures precise and dependable direct printing on rigid substrates, optimizing both print quality and overall efficiency.
To enhance user convenience, the printer features an intuitive touchscreen interface that simplifies operation and streamlines the management of workflows, thereby minimizing the need for manual intervention.
Automatic printhead cleaning and ink recirculation systems improve the printer's uptime and reduce ongoing maintenance expenses, while the single-phase power requirement allows for straightforward installation in environments with limited electrical infrastructure.
Furthermore, HP is introducing the HP PrintOS Production Hub, a platform that provides real-time, centralised order management and remote production control. This solution empowers PSPs to optimise their workflows, reduce errors, and enhance overall operational efficiency.
More key features include direct-to-rigid printing, which minimises material waste, and the use of water-based, odorless inks. The HP Latex Inks, which hold UL ECOLOGO certification, are designed with circularity in mind, incorporating returnable maintenance cartridges and 25% recycled plastic content, thereby supporting print businesses in scaling their operations sustainably.
