Google for Startups India unveils AI skilling program for early-stage founders
Google for Startups India has announced the launch of ‘Startup School: Prompt to Prototype’, a hands-on, two-week skilling program designed to help early-stage founders and entrepreneurs rapidly build AI-powered prototypes. The initiative, supported by MeitY Startup Hub, Startup India, IndiaAI Mission, and Nasscom, will run from November 27 to December 7, 2025, and is aimed at transforming bold ideas into launch-ready products using Google’s advanced AI tools. Participants will gain practical experience with Google’s AI ecosystem—including Gemini, Nano Banana, Imagen, Veo, NotebookLM, and AI Studio—while learning to ideate, research, design, and deploy AI-first solutions. The program also includes expert mentorship, product training, and a focus on AI-powered research and creative development.
Successful participants will receive a Google-recognized Certificate of Participation and become eligible for the “Build the Future” Showcase in January 2026, which offers further mentorship and visibility for standout innovators.
“The rules for building a startup have fundamentally changed,” said Ragini Das, Head of Google for Startups India. “Idea literacy is the new currency of innovation. By dismantling traditional coding barriers and leveraging Google’s full-stack AI ecosystem, we’re enabling entrepreneurs to move from concept to creation faster and with greater confidence.”
The program is designed to support founders from across India, including those from tier-II and tier-III cities, and aligns with national goals to foster a digitally empowered and globally competitive startup ecosystem.
With this initiative, Google for Startups India aims to position the country as a global hub for AI-first entrepreneurship. By equipping founders with the tools and mentorship needed to build scalable, impactful solutions, ‘Startup School: Prompt to Prototype’ is set to unlock new opportunities in India’s rapidly evolving digital economy.
