Donald Trump Jr praises Tesla CEO Elon Musk, calls him ‘generational genius’

Donald Trump’s son Donald Trump Jr. recently praised Elon Musk calling him a ‘generational genius’. Trump’s remarks come amid easing tensions between the US President and the Tesla CEO after their feud earlier this year. Speaking at the Doha Forum last week, Donald Trump Jr. said that Musk has done ‘incredible’ work with Twitter (now X), adding he “allowed the democratization of truth and freedom and free speech to occur”.


“I think Elon did incredible things with Twitter. I mean, he really allowed the democratization of truth and freedom and free speech to occur, and that was something that was a true threat in America right now,” he said.




Trump also praised the tech billionaire for the work done across his companies. He said “When you look at what Elon's done in terms of his companies, it's a generational talent, a generational level of genius, and my father understands and respects that.”


“This is someone who is changing not just the face of freedom of speech, but the face of science and technology, advancing America's interest. I think that's fundamentally important. We have to protect our geniuses,” he continued.

‘I Like Elon A Lot’: Donald Trump

Earlier this month, Donald Trump told reporters that he gets along with Elon Musk.


“I like Elon a lot; he really helped during the election with his endorsement,” Trump said at a press conference. Acknowledging their previous feud, Trump said “I didn't wanna have… everybody had to have an electric car, and he makes electric cars”. He later reassured that the duo are now on good terms. "We get along well," he said.
