Cloudflare says outage resolved: Here's status update from the company
Cloudflare’s service experienced a second outage within a month. However, the company has now confirmed that the issue has been resolved. Users can now start accessing the essential apps that were down during the outage. The IT infrastructure company, which is critical to the internet, resolved the outage within 30 minutes. During the blackout, the company wrote on its service status page: “Cloudflare is investigating issues with Cloudflare Dashboard and related APIs. Customers using the Dashboard / Cloudflare APIs are impacted as requests might fail and/or errors may be displayed. We are continuing to monitor the results.”
Later on, Cloudflare added: “A fix has been implemented, and we are monitoring the results. We are continuing to investigate this issue.”
Finally, the company has now confirmed that “This incident has been resolved.”
Cloudflare CTO Dane Knecht also took to the social media site X (formerly Twitter) to confirm: “We are aware of the issue impacting the availability of Cloudflare’s network. It was not an attack; root cause was disabling some logging to help mitigate this week’s React CVE. Will share full details in a blog post today. Sites should be back online now, but I understand the frustration this causes and the work being.”
The Cloudflare outage disrupted several online services and affected users across platforms such as Canva, Zerodha, Angel One, and Groww. Many users said they couldn’t log in, place trades, or view market data because the systems connected to Cloudflare weren't functioning correctly.
According to the outage-tracking website Downdetector, nearly 2,000 users in India reported issues opening sites, connecting to servers, and accessing hosting services.
In November, Cloudflare faced another major outage that briefly affected many online services for hours. The affected sites included Spotify, ChatGPT, and even US President Donald Trump’s platform, Truth Social. The company plays an important role on the internet by helping websites stay online during heavy traffic and protecting them from cyberattacks.
The company that supports how the internet works. It helps websites load quickly and protects them from cyberattacks. It sits between users and websites to improve speed and safety. Because many businesses rely on it, even one issue can make several unrelated websites go offline at the same time.
