Airtel IPTV curates Republic Day weekend watchlist with new films and TV shows
Airtel IPTV is offering a special Republic Day watchlist, blending new releases like 'Freedom at Midnight S2' and 'A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms' with patriotic classics such as 'Border' and 'Shershaah'. This curated selection, available on their platform aggregating numerous apps and channels, aims to entertain viewers throughout the long weekend with a mix of thrillers and war dramas.
Airtel IPTV has rolled out a curated watchlist for the Republic Day long weekend, combining new streaming releases with classic patriotic films. The service, priced at Rs 699 onwards, aggregates 29+ streaming apps and 600+ live TV channels, is offering up to 30 days of free service on new plans through the Airtel Thanks App. The lineup features recent premieres including Freedom at Midnight Season 2 on SonyLIV, which explores India's post-1947 political turmoil, and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms on JioHotstar—the latest Game of Thrones prequel that debuted January 19. International thrillers like The Night Manager Season 2 with Tom Hiddleston and Hijack Season 2 on Apple TV round out the contemporary selections.

From smuggling dramas to Stranger Things farewells

Newer additions include Taskaaree: The Smuggler's Web, an Emraan Hashmi-led thriller on Netflix that premiered January 14, and a behind-the-scenes documentary on Stranger Things Season 5, which offers an inside look at the beloved series' final chapter.

War films anchor the patriotic programming

The watchlist leans heavily on military cinema for Republic Day viewing. 120 Bahadur, which dramatizes the 1962 Battle of Rezang La from the Sino-Indian War, was re-released January 16 on Amazon Prime Video. Classic picks include Border (1997), based on the 1971 Indo-Pakistan War, and Shershaah (2021), which chronicles Param Vir Chakra recipient Captain Vikram Batra's Kargil War heroics. Uri: The Surgical Strike, the 2019 film about India's 2016 cross-border operation, is available on ZEE5 and Airtel Xstream Play, while Raazi (2018) offers a more nuanced spy thriller perspective.
