PM Narendra Modi's gift to Elon Musk’s kids: Panchatantra, and these other books

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk during his US visit on Thursday in Washington. Musk was accompanied by his girlfriend, Shivon Zilis, and their three children – Lil X, Azure, and Strider.After their meeting at the Blair House, Prime Minister Modi presented Musk’s children with three books. These books are: "The Crescent Moon" by Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore, The Great RK Narayan Collection and Pandit Vishnu Sharma's Panchatantra.


In photos shared by the Prime Minister on X (formerly Twitter), Musk’s children were seen reading these books. “It was also a delight to meet Mr. @elonmusk’s family and to talk about a wide range of subjects!,” PM Modi wrote in the post.





In a separate post, PM Modi wrote ““Had a very good meeting with @elonmusk in Washington DC. We discussed various issues, including those he is passionate about such as space, mobility, technology and innovation. I talked about India’s efforts towards reform and furthering ‘Minimum Government, Maximum Governance”.




The meeting was attended by Indian External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval. According to a statement from India's Ministry of External Affairs, the leaders explored opportunities to strengthen collaboration between Indian and US entities in innovation, artificial intelligence (AI), and sustainable development, as per news agency PTI.

The meeting gains additional significance as it comes shortly after Musk's appointment by President Donald Trump to head the newly established US Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) last month.
