So, it becomes crucial that you check the authenticity and legal registration of the property. To help you in this, the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) was set up. The authority was created to protect the potential buyers from from fraud, overpromising, stalled construction and sudden change of plans. A flat registered under RERA means that the project has verified land documents, declared times and financial accountability.


The RERA helps in confirming the project or house is legally approved. It also makes sure that the land ownership documents are verified. The authority also declares the construction timelines and possession dates. It protect the buyers from fraudulent builders and stalled projects and also offer transparency on financial escrow accounts.

Search your State RERA portal

Open “Registered Projects” → Enter the Project Name / Builder Name / Location.
