The inclusion of Suicide Squad comes less than a year after its February 2024 release and follows the developer's recent announcement that the current season would be its last. The $200 million live-service game received mixed reviews and struggled to maintain its player base.

The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe, an expanded remake of the acclaimed 2013 narrative adventure game, offers new content and choices while preserving the original's meta-commentary on video game storytelling. The Ultra Deluxe edition includes additional dialogue, endings, and modern visual updates.

Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered rounds out the offering, bringing the 2010 racing game to modern consoles with enhanced visuals and all previously released DLC. Players can experience both sides of the law in separate career modes.

PlayStation Plus Essential subscribers have until January 6 to add December's games - It Takes Two, Aliens: Dark Descent, and Temtem - to their libraries before they are replaced by the new lineup.
