Pokémon Pokopia has been updated once again, as version 1.0.3 is now available for download by all players on Nintendo Switch 2 as of April 8, 2026. This life simulation game, developed by The Pokémon Company, keeps getting patched continuously, trying to make it stable and get rid of various bugs present throughout the game. The current version comes after the release of version 1.0.2, which managed to fix some early issues faced by gamers after downloading it. The update primarily deals with fixing bugs and stabilising gameplay, along with some issues related to progression on certain islands and systems in the game. There are many problems fixed in this version, but some have only been partially solved.
Pokémon Pokopia update fixes major gameplay bugs and progression issues
According to Ninetendolife, the latest update targets several gameplay bugs that were affecting progression and exploration. One of the major issues involved Pokémon whose habitats had disappeared, making them difficult to locate even when using the Pokédex “Search” function. This problem has now been improved, and the search system should respond more reliably.
Another fix relates to travel between Dream Islands. In certain situations, players were reportedly being transported to Palette Town and then unable to return to their original location. This progression block has now been resolved.
There was also an issue where the screen would remain dark when moving between towns or when the in-game date changed. This made gameplay difficult or even unplayable for some users. The update addresses this, restoring normal visual transitions.
Pokémon Pokopia Version 1.0.3 fixes construction and habitat management bugs
Several fixes in Version 1.0.3 focus on construction mechanics and habitat management. In some cases, players found that Pokémon habitats could not be relocated after performing certain actions. This has now been corrected.
Construction projects were also affected by a bug where buildings would fail to complete until the in-game date was changed. This could slow down progression significantly. The update reportedly resolves this timing issue.
On Bleak Beach, a specific request titled “Power up the charging station!” was sometimes blocked, preventing progress entirely. That issue has now been fixed. In Sparkling Skylands, another progression bug caused Pokémon assisting with construction to disappear unexpectedly. This made it difficult to complete a major rebuilding request. The update restores proper functionality in this area.
Cloud Islands bug fixes improve stability and seasonal spawns
Cloud Islands received a notable number of corrections in this patch. On some occasions, seasonal Pokémon would disappear from towns and island areas after certain actions were performed. This has now been addressed.
A more serious issue involved the creation of new Cloud Islands, where errors could occur and prevent the island from being generated at all. This has been fixed according to the official notes. These changes should make island progression more stable, especially for players focusing on exploration and seasonal content, improving overall gameplay consistency and reducing unexpected disruptions during extended sessions.
Partial fixes and remaining issues
Not every issue has been fully resolved. The patch notes confirm that some problems have only been partially fixed. One such issue involves continuous controller vibration, which could occur after performing specific actions in-game.
While the frequency of this bug has reportedly been reduced, it has not been eliminated. Players may still encounter it in limited situations.
