Battlefield 6 is launching on October 10, Electronic Arts (EA) has announced. The company showcased its multiplayer gameplay, single-player campaign, new features, and global map settings during a livestreamed event on Thursday, July 31. The game, as announced by the company, will debut on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, with two open beta weekends scheduled for this month. During the event, EA has offered an extended look at Battlefield 6’s multiplayer experience, along with a glimpse of the single-player campaign set in the year 2027. Battlefield 6 open beta details
As announced by the company, Battlefield 6 open beta will start next week and continue into the weekend before ending on August 17. Details are as follows:
- Early Access Open Beta: August 7 – August 8
- Open Beta Weekend One: August 9 – August 10
- Open Beta Weekend Two: August 14 – August 17
Battlefield 6 features
Electronic Arts has confirmed that Battlefield 6 will include a mix of classic gameplay features and new mechanics aimed at improving player experience. Key gameplay features include:
Return of Class System: EA is bringing back the traditional class system — dropped in Battlefield 2042 — with four roles:
- Assault
- Recon
- Support
- Engineer
Each class will have its own set of gadgets, weapons, and training.
Improved Destruction System: The game will feature enhanced destructible environments that players can use tactically during combat.
New Combat Mechanics: Kinesthetic Combat System: Improves movement and gunplay for more fluid action.
Drag and Revive: Players can now drag downed teammates to safety before reviving them.
Weapon Mounting: Allows players to mount guns on walls to reduce recoil and improve accuracy.
Multiplayer Modes and MapsGlobal Locations: Maps will be set in Egypt, Gibraltar, and New York.

Battlefield 6 editions and price
As mentioned above, Battlefield 6 will have two editions – Standard and Phantom. The Standard Edition of Battlefield 6 will cost $69.99, while the Phantom Edition is priced at $99.99. In India, the former costs Rs 3,999, while the latter carries a price tag of Rs 5,999 on PC. While the Battlefield 6 Standard and Phantom editions cost Rs 4,999 and Rs 7,499 respectively on PlayStation and Xbox storefronts.
