LG expands home appliances portfolio in India, launches French Door refrigerators, washing machines, and more

LG Electronics has launched its 2026 Home Appliances range in India, expanding both affordable-premium and premium segments. The company says that the new range is engineered to address the full spectrum of Indian consumer needs. As part of its 2026 range expansion, LGE India has added new models in its affordable-premium Essential Series, launched in Oct 2025. These models bring more designs and capacities across home appliances. Simultaneously, LGE India also introduced new products in the Premium category.LG Electronics India launched new French Door Refrigerator range, including by India’s first French Door Refrigerator with Auto Ice Maker in the 33inch (83.82Cms) width segment, the company says. Available in capacities ranging from 574L to 610L, the range comes with features such as InstaView DoorinDoor, Fresh Converter+, Door Cooling+ and Hygiene Fresh+ for freshness management and food hygiene. There is also Smart Learner that, LG says, enables adaptive cooling based on usage patterns, Express Freeze supports rapid cooling, while AI ThinQ WiFi connectivity allows for smart monitoring and control.Complementing this, LGE India has also expanded its MakeinIndia SidebySide (SBS) Refrigerator portfolio, extending capacities up to 790L and is available in finishes such as Black Mirror Glass, Shiny Steel and Natural Beige. LGE India has also launched its biggest Double Door Refrigerator with 674L capacity offering separate compartments for storing fruits and vegetables.Coming to the affordable-premium LG Essential Series range, LGE India is adding new capacities and designs. In refrigeration, the sub300L portfolio has been expanded to include 225L, 251L and 276L capacities, addressing a wider range of household needs. They are powered by Smart Inverter Compressor Technology and come with features such as Convertible with Dairy Mode converts freezer section to fridge with dedicated Dairy Mode, Turbo Fresh Zone support longer freshness retention, and Auto Smart Connect ensures seamless operation on home inverters during power interruptions.The Refrigerators are offered in contemporary finishes including Shiny Steel, Onyx Black, Radiant Inox, Radiant Onyx, Wine Glory, Royal Glory, Scarlet Lotus and Emerald Lotus.The Essential Series washing machine range has also been strengthened with new topload washing machines in 8kg-10kg capacities. LG says that its Low Pressure Fill features enables effective washing even with limited water supply while Intelligent Auto Restart ensures uninterrupted operation during power fluctuations. While the ProShield motor offers added protection against dust and moisture, Eco Wash and Saree Course programmes cater to daily and traditional laundry needs and Turbo Spin helps reduce drying time.LGE India has also strengthened its entry segment through the new AX series semiautomatic washing machines which are available in capacities ranging from 8kg to 12kg. These come with features such as, Dual Spin Shower and Roller Jet Pulsator technologies for powerful washing action with efficient water usage. The Ultra Scrub Wall enhances stain removal through increased fabric friction during washing.Coming to premium, mid and entry segments. LG’s NT, VX and GVX Frontload Washing Machine series are now available with capacities starting at 12kg, powered by AI DD 2.0 technology, to detect fabric type, load weight and soil levels and automatically optimise wash motions. This helps improve cleaning performance while reducing fabric wear, water usage and energy consumption. Additional features include EZ Dispense for precise detergent dosing, Steam+™ for wrinkle and hygiene care, and specialized Pet Care and Microplastic Care cycles, catering to consumers with advanced hygiene and sustainability requirements.In the mid segment, LGE India has expanded its portfolio with the TX series top load washing machine, available in 10kg and 11kg capacities, with a 9kg variant to be introduced soon.Cooking Appliances: In the cooking appliances segment, the Essential Series range has been extended with new 28litre Convertible Convection Microwave Ovens, combining microwave, convection and airfry functions in a single appliance. The Air Fry mode supports low oil cooking, while Charcoal Lighting Heater technology enhances taste and texture closer to traditional cooking methods. The ovens feature over 330 pre-set auto Cook menus, including 28 Indian bread menu.Dishwashers: LGE India has also strengthened its 2026 dishwashing category with the 15 Place Setting LG True Dishwasher, designed specifically for Indian cooking habits and utensil types. Claimed to be capable of accommodating up to 92 Indian utensils, including large kadhais and cookware, the dishwasher features TrueSteam technology for hygienic cleaning and QuadWash technology with four spray arms for all angle wash coverage.Water Purifiers: LGE India is bringing new range of air-tight stainless steel tanks, UV sterilisation during storage, and Digital Sterilizing Care for contactless maintenance. Additional features include alkaline balanced drinking water with 7+ pH and High Recovery Membrane technology claimed to be delivering up to 60% water recovery.“This portfolio expansion reflects that philosophy across every category.
