Xiaomi's next 6.4-inch phone Max leaked, will go up against Micromax and Lenovo phablets
Chinese company Xiaomi is said to be secretly working on a 6.4 inch phablet called Max. According to a report in GSMArena, the company decided to name the device Max after an online poll.
Some photos of the device's front panel have surfaced online. These pictures are reportedly straight from the production line.
The shots show the phablet's front panel and it appears huge. In tune with Xiaomi's design langiage, the image shows side bezels, capacitive keys and sensor array.
Seems, big-sized phablets are in demand. Recently, Xiaomi's rival Lenovo launched Phab phablet with a 6.9-inch screen. The the device announced at IFA last year launched at a price tag of Rs 11,999.
Indian smartphone brand Micromax's u Televentures too has expanded its portfolio in the country with the launch of a 6-inch phablet dubbed Yureka Note. The device is priced at Rs 13,4999. Yureka Note has a 6-inch full HD display with 1920x1280 pixels resolution.
On its part, Xiaomi recently launched Xiaomi Mi 5 -- its most expensive smartphone in the Indian market -- recently. The smartphone flaunts a 5.15-inch full HD display with 1920x1080 pixels resolution. The handset runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. The device offers 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB/128GB of internal storage.
