Xiaomi Mi Max to launch in India on June 30
NEW DELHI: Xiaomi is all set to launch its Mi Max smartphone in India. Xiaomi’s vice president for International Hugo Barra tweeted - ‘Something BIG is coming to blow you away on 30 June, Indian Mi fans.’
Barra also posted a video that confirms Mi Max will indeed be launching on June 30.
Launched in China earlier, Mi Max will be available in gold, silver and light grey colour options.
Sporting a massive 6.44-inch Full HD display, the Mi Max is the biggest smartphone Xiaomi has ever launched. It is also among the company’s heaviest smartphones, tipping the scales at 203 grams.
Mi Max includes dual-sim functionality and there are three versions of the phablet, based on RAM and internal storage.
The smartphone has an all-metal body and also comes with a fingerprint scanner. It has a 16MP f/2.0 rear camera with PDAF and LED Flash, along with a 5MP front camera. The dual-sim smartphone is 4G capable, and has Bluetooth, GLONASS, Wi-Fi and GPS/A-GPS as connectivity options.
Mi Max is backed by a 4,850mAh battery, and also has an IR blaster which makes it possible to use the smartphone as a universal remote.

Available in two variants -- the 2GB RAM/16GB storage variant of Redmi 3s is priced at $106, while the 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage version bears a price tag of $136. Both variants will be available for purchase on Xiaomi's official website - mi.com, starting June 16.
