NEW DELHI: It seems Apple’s new iPhone SE is about to get a small-screen rival from Xiaomi. The Chinese startup is said to be working on a handset with 4.3-inch display and Snapdragon 820 processor to keep iPhone SE at bay.
The upcoming Xiaomi smartphone, whose image has been leaked via Chinese social media website Weibo, has a physical Home button below the screen. This button is likely to feature the fingerprint sensor. The screen is said to have HD display quality, resulting in pixel density of approximately 342ppi; in contrast, iPhone SE has pixel density of 326ppi.
Under the hood, the 1.8GHz Snapdragon 820 processor is complemented by 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. For imaging, the smartphone reportedly has a 13MP primary camera.
Xiaomi is expected to price this upcoming smartphone at 1,799 yuan (approximately Rs 19,000 or a little over $275). This is slightly lower than the $299 price tag of iPhone SE in the US.
