Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg

of today appears lot like a statesman in his interviews. He talks about taking internet connectivity to third-world countries and philanthropy. He and his wife have even apparently vowed to donate 99% of their Facebook shares to charitable purposes. The pledge was made in an open letter to their newborn daughter, Max, earlier this year.

Rewind to the year 2005, and you have the Facebook CEO sipping beer during an interview. Though Zuckerberg asks at the start of the interview, "Should I put the beer down?"

The interview, which dates to the days the social networking giant was called TheFacebook.com, has Zuckerberg sitting wearing a T-shirt and gym shots. This appears quite unlike the signature grey T-shirts he wears now (almost every day).

In this 'time travel', Zuckerberg describes the social network as, "... an online directory for colleges."

He goes on to add later, site's plan to expand to 150 new campuses, "We came out to Palo Alto for the summer just to hang out because Palo Alto is this mythical place where, you know, all the start-ups come from.” He adds, "Now it's like, we'll go to parties on campus and we end up in someone's room and, like, there's a Facebook window open, that's pretty cool, you know what I mean?"

These really seem to be modest goals for the CEO who earlier this year surpassed Oracle chairman Larry Ellison to become the sixth richest person in the world with net worth of $4.85 billion.

The video was shared by Twitter user Semil Shah on the microblogging website recently.
