Ulefone Metal smartphone with 5-inch HD display, 3GB RAM announced

NEW DELHI: Ulefone has announced its latest budget smartphone. Dubbed Metal, the smartphone will come in Black, Space Grey and Silver White colour options, and will likely be priced somewhere between $99.99 and $129.99. Ulefone is also running a giveaway, inviting prospective buyers to guess the price of the handset.

In terms of specifications, Ulefone Metal sports a 5-inch HD 2.5D curved display of 720x1280 pixel resolution. The display is also Gorilla Glass protected. The phone is powered by a 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. It offers 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded further up to 128GB through microSD cards.

The dual-sim Ulefone Metal runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It also has an 8MP primary camera with LED flash and a 2MP front-facing camera for selfies. The smartphone flaunts a metal unibody design and comes with a fingerprint sensor. On the connectivity front, it offers 4G, LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and USB OTG. A 3,050mAh battery rounds up the spec sheet.

Recently, Lenovo launched its Vibe C2 smartphone in Russia. The smartphone has a 5-inch HD IPS display of 720x1280 pixel resolution and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow, topped up with Lenovo's Vibe UI. The dual-sim smartphone is powered by a 1GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory, with support for microSD cards up to 32GB in size. The 4G device also has Waves MaxxAudio technology.

There is an 8MP rear camera with LED Flash and a 5MP front camera. There's also a 2,750mAh battery.
