Samsung Galaxy Note 7’s 6GB RAM variant to launch in China on August 26
NEW DELHI: Last week we reported (citing a report from Korean Times) that Samsung is planning to launch the 6GB RAM/128GB storage variant of its flagship phablet – Galaxy Note 7, in China. And it seems that the South Korean giant will indeed launch the 6GB RAM/128GB internal storage variant of the Note 7 in China on August 26, according to the report by Playfuldroid! website.
As per Korean Times’ report last week, Samsung's Mobile chief Dong Jin Koh said at a conference in Seoul that the company plans to introduce the 128GB version of the phone in China.
He further added that Samsung will start rolling out Android Nougat 7.0 update for its smartphones in 2 to 3 months, after gathering feedback from the users.
Recently, a Galaxy Note 7 variant with 6GB RAM/128GB ROM was spotted on certification website Tenaa, in China. This particular Samsung Galaxy Note 7 model also supports dual-sim functionality with a hybrid sim/microSD card configuration.
For those unaware, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out-of-the-box and sports a 5.7-inch Quad HD dual-edge Super Amoled display of 1440x2560 pixel resolution, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Confirming prior leaks and rumours, the Galaxy Note 7 includes both an iris scanner and a fingerprint sensor. In India, the device comes with an octa-core Exynos processor clubbed with 4GB RAM.
For imaging duties, the premium phablet has a 12MP dual-pixel rear-camera with Optical Image Stabilization along with a 5MP front-facing shooter. The device comes with almost every possible connectivity feature including 4G LTE, NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and USB Type-C. There's also a whole array of sensors on-board including barometer, gyro sensor, geomagnetic sensor, hall sensor, proximity sensor and RGB light sensor.
