OnePlus 3 gets OxygenOS 3.2.2 with improved Doze, big fixes
The Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus is releasing another update for its latest smartphone OnePlus 3. The version OxygenOS v3.2.2 is the second update since the smartphone was launched in early June.
It comes in less than three weeks after OxygenOS 3.2.1. Around 271MB in size, the update promises among other things an 'improved notification management in Doze' and offers some security patches.
Here's how the changelog goes:
* Improved notification management in doze
* Addressed alert slider/silent mode issue
* Disabled fingerprint sensor while in pocket
* Added NFC toggle in quick settings
* Improved noise cancellation in video recording
* Updated 4K video recording codec
* Added latest security patches and various optimizations
The update is an incremental rollout, which means it will be rolled out to users in phases. So, worry not, it should reach your device too in some time. For those who can't wait, they can download the OTA file directly.
So far, it is also not clear if the update addresses the battery drain issue being faced by some users. According to these users, they have been experiencing battery troubles since updating to OxygenOS 3.2.1.
OnePlus has not mentioned anything about battery improvements or battery-related fixes in the latest update.
Earlier this month, the company had upgraded Oxygen OS 3.2.0 version bringing sRGB display mode, RAM management and improvements to the smartphone's camera quality and functionality. However, the company soon pulled out the update after users complained of some issues. OnePlus later again started rolling out the OxygenOS 3.2.1 for the OnePlus 3 smartphone with additional improvements to the previous version.
Running Android-based OxygenOS, the OnePlus 3 smartphone features a 5.5-inch Optic AMOLED Full HD display, is powered by quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and packs massive 6GB RAM. There's 16MP Sony IMX298 autofocus rear camera, 8MP Sony IMX179 camera on front, non-expandable 64GB storage and 3000mAh non-removable battery.
As for connectivity, the OnePlus 3 supports NFC, USB Type-C, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, and GPS. It is backed by a 3000mAh non-removable battery with support for Dash Charge technology. It comes in Graphite and Soft Gold colour variants.
